Bath time with a smile.

Even in the middle of summer, I love to take baths.  It is one of the most relaxing activities that I enjoy.  Yesterday afternoon I had the good fortune of reading the label of my Dr. Bronner’s soap while I bathed.  It was the perfect reminder:

In the world’s broad field of battle,

In the bivouac of life,

Be not like dumb, driven cattle!

Be a hero in the strife!

Trust no future, however pleasant!

Let the dead past bury it’s dead!

Act-act in the living present!

Restorative Yoga this Sunday.

One of the many lessons I am learning from my son is how to take naps.  He sleeps when he is tired, deeply, and pretty much anywhere he happens to be.  When he wakes up he is refreshed, smiling, and happy.  Kind of like I feel after finishing a Restorative Yoga class.  Although the aim of Restorative yoga is not to fall asleep, it does allow us to rest deeply.  The rejuvenation and nourishment this provides is simply outstanding.  You too can emerge refreshed, smiling, and happy….
