off the grid

As I prepare to leave the country and settle into jungle life on the Osa peninsula, Costa Rica, I am spending a lot of time on the computer updating blogs and websites, answering emails, and tying up loose ends.  All so that I can leave it behind and take a real break, away from email, from phones, from automobiles.  My brain can certainly use it, as can my immune system.

class cancellation

This morning’s 9 am class in Underhill is cancelled due to the snowstorm.

In his book of short stories titled Asleep Banana Yoshimoto writes that during a snow storm “what piles up is not snow but time”.  Try not to get anywhere in a rush today.
