lululemon ambassadorship

The yoga and fitness clothing company Lululemon has selected me as one of their yoga ambassadors.  I am delighted to take on the new role and excited about our blossoming yoga community.  Thank you!!

A Vision

Yoga Vermont closing studio C

As many of you have heard, Yoga Vermont is closing Studio C in the Chase Mill due to financial hardship.  I am very saddened to share this news as I have been teaching at Yoga Vermont for the last ten years and it’s studio, as well as the leadership of Liza and Kathy, created a thriving yoga community that has held me as both teacher and student.  Since the news is recent I have not yet figured out where I am going to teach.  I WILL continue to teach and hope to keep the class times that I currently have.  … Continue Reading

Grandma knows best

Saturday I spent the day with my husband’s grandmother.  She is 90 and lives in an assisted living facility in southern Vermont.  She moved from a house she lived in for 58 years.  A house with many rooms and 58 years of things to fill them.  Now she has one room, a bathroom and a closet.  She grieves the loss of her house as she acclimates to more simple living quarters.  She said to us “I spent my whole life working for things and then had to either give them … Continue Reading

While still enjoying some clear thinking as a result of meditating for seven days in silence I thought why spend so much time revisiting the past, which I cannot change, when each moment I am creating a new past and in the moment of now, I have some choice.  ”Pay attention Emily” I thought as this moment is the future past.
