Yin Yoga series begins next Tuesday

I first discovered Yin Yoga when I was traveling in India.  I met a woman who showed me Paul Grilley’s book entitled Yin Yoga. Burlington Yoga Conference

byc-logoThis year’s 2nd annual Burlington Yoga Conference will take place May 1 at the Davis Center at UVM.  It’s a wonderful opportunity to spend time with old and new yoga friends and to celebrate our rich and varied yoga community.  I will be teaching Yin Yoga and Metta Meditation which you can learn more about here.

Yin Yoga: A student’s reflections

“I find that what I experience after a yin yoga session is different from the feeling after yang yoga, or after other exercise forms.  It reminds me of the feeling I get from practicing tai chi.   It is not so much the presence of great stretch, or heat, or blood pounding through the body, or anything outwardly obvious like that.  In fact, it is notable more for the lack of any soreness, tightness, or hindrances.  Its as if everything is simply and calmly as it should be.  Its understated, and hard to pin down, or quantify.  The joints work, the posture finds itself to … Continue Reading
